SetFileIoOverlappedRange failed, GetLastError is 1314

Error Message:

SetFileIoOverlappedRange failed, GetLastError is 1314

When attaching a database:

SQL Server Service User is using lock pages in memory, as specified in this link. When another user that does not have lock pages in memory tries to attach a database, you will see in the SQL log a Warning message like

SetFileIoOverlappedRange failed, GetLastError is 1314

or a Windows bug(happening even if not attaching a database)

This is a documented event in this KB

If you get the error while attaching a database this message can be ignored, you can avoid that message from happening by assigning lock pages in memory privilege to the windows user doing the database attach operation. If the error happens even when not attaching a database plan a windows patch as specified in this kb.

suggestions as needed.
